About the Event

NEXT - Living with Grief/Bereavement

Workshop, over 3 sessions

7.15pm - 8.30pm Tuesday 13th, 20th, 27th February

Location - Elysium Wellness Centre.

My mum passed over in February 2023, I have learned so much about myself and how to live with this experience and loss. My mindful practice played a great part, however I felt guided to learn more to bring support to myself and others. I completed an End-of-Life Doula foundation course which gave me a greater insight. Completing this course I have combined my mindfulness skills, knowledge and experience and designed a workshop on grief.

I decided to deliver this workshop in November last year and feedback was amazing with regards to attendees benefiting from others and the content, I've decided to schedule more dates.

My aim is to provide an understanding of how to be with grief, how it impacts and changes us, to move forward and begin to live life again with joy.

Grief is what happens to us in response to a loss. The loss of a loved one, expected or unexpected.

The loss of an unborn child

The potential loss of a loved one (terminal diagnosis, Alzheimer/dementia)

The loss of a close and meaningful relationship

The workshop is suitable, if you have experienced a loss, grief can still be affecting us after many years. Those who wish to understand grief better or if this is part of your work, or you are supporting others who have experienced loss.

Sessions will involve

Understanding Grief

Living with Grief

Holding the space for Grief

Learning coping mechanisms

All 3 sessions will need to be attended, to gain insight and benefit.

Purpose of these sessions

To provide support in a safe comfortable environment to talk about grief, if you want to.

To learn to be with grief, taking the fear away.

To grieve the loss and what we were attached to, ie the life we had, the change/impact of loss to our lives, the loss of a future

Cost £40 pp

Please be aware that the content and discussions may be triggering, becoming upset can be natural and will be supported in the sessions. However, if you feel this will be too distressing, please consider waiting for another date. If you wish to contact me before booking with any questions or concerns, please do. Limited places - Book now/pay on arrival (cash or card)
